Eddie River

I never understood the idea that you could love someone you've never met. To be clear, someone you met online, for all intents and purposes, a stranger. All those stories just didn't make sense to me.

Until today.

I met Eddie online. I asked to join a facebook group, Barbara Marciniak and the Pleiadians. Eddie was the administrator of that group and accepted me as a member. We had a few groups in common and we began to interact within them. Although we never got the chance to meet in person, we became friends.

That was a little over 2 years ago. Over time I got to know a little about Eddie. And I grew to like him. He was kind, generous, and charming. He was an active admin and was always posting and commenting; encouraging his group to participate and be lively in the discussions.

Eddie was a lot of things. One of those things was that he was sad. He struggled with who he was. He struggled with his job. He struggled with his choices and he struggled with his sadness.

Eddie lost that struggle on January 30th.

When I 'asked' today, I was told that "it was part of the plan. It would have been nice to stay around...but it was the plan.' And because of my belief system, I understood.

'Go forth upon the bright and shining way to Summerland, and look no more behind-
For those you leave will join you in their day-
No love is lost beyond what life can bind.
Release what was, leaves upon the wind.
Embrace what comes, go joyful, and transcend.'

I love you, Eddie.

National Peace Day

My daughter-in-law, Cassandra, is a wonderful mix; part witchy woman, part infj, part entrepreneur, part cook, and part activist. I remember hearing that she planned to 'do' a 'free hugs day' in Spokane a while back and, lo and behold, she did. I'd never heard of it having been done, so I was intrigued by it. 'She is so brave', I thought. Would that I had it in me. But I don't and so I respected that in her.

I just received this little video set to 'Where Is The Love' by the Black Eyed Peas. Watching my family in action filled me up. So much so that 'my cup' truly 'spilleth over.'

Thank you Cassandra.

Benevolent Being

I saw this post on my facebook feed. It is such a profound perspective on being a parent. One that I had never seen, heard, or read before. I thought to share it here. BENEVOLENT BEING... A time ago the soul of a young man was created and transformed into physical energy. He came here to bless those and be in the lives of the ones who needed his love the most. I was fortunate enough to be included in his existence and wise enough to recognize him as my son. Before he was ever born, I turned my head to the heavens and asked Spirit to allow me to help create his loving soul. For I recognized that I could be healed by his presence, and shown how to love by learning from his example. In his lifetime he has traveled far from home and learned the patterns of unfamiliar people. He has befriended many of them and created long lasting relationships. I watch as he touches the lives of others and I witness the sharing of himself without expectation. I endeavor to be in that space, where I selflessly give my energy and love to the world at large without apprehension. Soon he will return home and I will again be exposed to his light. I give thanks to God that he is here with me in the form of this most beloved son. I begin to understand the gift of sharing someone with the world, even though I will not always be with him. I know he will be safe because he is here with a mission and a meaning that as time passes, is revealed to me. I am humbled by the gift of him, as I try to become effortlessly worthy of the company of this most amazing person. 2015

And so it begins - 2015. Resolutions? Nope, not really. Nothing needs resolving. However, I am making a list and setting the intention to see the list through. The list is one of attainable, short-term goals. I'll set it in writing those things that I want to accomplish this year. Of course some are intangible. But others are not and those are the ones that I 'intend' to see through. How about you?

Let There Be Light

I found a pretty inspirational video, at least for me. I'm saving it here so that I don't ever have to search for it again. Sometimes, over time, things get lost and no matter how hard you try, you cannot find them.

Adam

The Crystal Grid Maker

Who'd a thunk that a seven year old would understand or could understand the song a crystal sings? Not me. I always thought that those kinds of gifts developed slowly over time, guided by a myriad of teachers and schools of thought that pertained only to gemology. Not so, it seems.

This little guy could hear crystal and rock voices at 2 years of age. He would pick up a rock or crystal and then mimic the sounds of their energy, frequency, or vibration. Because his family believes in this phenomenon (his mother is an intuitive), he was encouraged to develop his gift. And it is amazing.

Watch out world, here comes Adam, The Crystal Grid Maker. I hope we can all learn something from him. Thank you Universe for Adam.

Here is a link to his page. May it continue to grow and may he favor us with the knowledge that is his to share.

This Is Me

This is a sort of Vision Quest for this year. We'll see how true it is. Or, rather, I'll find out at the end of the year if I was telling myself the truth ... or not.

God Speed to You My Little Sister

Dear Janie,

It isn't very often that I ever question the ways in which our souls handle (perhaps the wrong word to use) our lives. It is my personal belief that they are arrogant things. They know that they will survive the life, learn what they came to learn, and then go Home to a place 'where life is beautiful all the time.' I don't know (as this personality) if they even take the body's personality into consideration when they plan the challenges, especially if there is going to be great physical, emotional, or mental suffering. I think the personality, in this case me, or you, just goes along truly believing that she is in charge of the life she is living.

But I know that this isn't true. Our souls choose the lives they want to live. They seed them with experiences and challenges that will ensure they learn, by hook or by crook, whatever it is they believe they need to learn in order to provide themselves with the greatest potential for maximum soul growth and evolution. They may feel great compassion, I suppose, for what they're going to be putting the body's personality through, but certainly not enough to change their plans for it. I accept that they believe there is free will. But only as it applies to them, not us. We (the body's personality) are just the means to an end.

Having said all that, I want to say that I wish our souls had chosen differently for us. A different sort of relationship. I wish that we had been sisters in the truest sense of the word. I wish that we had been the kind of sisters that shared secrets, chatted into the wee hours of the morning, met for lunch or dinner and talked about absolutely nothing until sunrise or even taken vacations together with all our children in tow.

I wish that I could have been with you at the end of your life to minister to you and calm your fears. I would have liked to have been the one to have given you comfort if only with assurances that the place you go to is so much more wonderful than you could ever imagine. Where you would be more truly alive than you had ever been here. I would have liked to have been holding your hand. I wish that I could have kissed you goodbye.

I love you, Janie, with all my heart. I hope that you're having the greatest adventure ever. Say hi to momma and grandma Jane.

Your sister, Lydia.

P/S  Put in a good word for me, will you?

Daniel's Insight

Although the following was intended for someone else, I feel compelled to share it. It speaks to belief, faith, and the ability to truly create our own reality. Sometimes we struggle to believe in ourselves and our ability to live our best life because we think we are undeserving. We struggle to give meaning to our own personal dreams and so we settle for only those things that are easily within reach, never fully realizing our own potential.  We can't do that unless we stretch and BELIEVE. I hope it speaks to you, too.

Here is Daniel's insight:

With any kind of a state that feels overwhelming or inescapable, the trick to breaking free from it is just to keep moving. You can't leave it if you remain focused on the negatives in it, whatever the look of things. You have to put your energy, efforts, and concentration into what you want for yourself. That is how you move from one state to another, by thinking and feeling from the state you desire, not the state you are in.

It's not easy if your mood is so centered in the condition you are unhappily experiencing. But if you continue to think and feel from there, that is what will be supported. So, it does take effort to shift to another state, but it can be done by using it as a catalyst to what you really want.

And one needs to have faith, to believe, and assume that you will have the desire you want. Imagining what you want , feeling what it will be like when you receive it, and assuming that you will have it are key to having the life you want for yourself.

The timing of it is up to a higher power. But it will unfold in your life. All your motivations are going to make it happen, helping you shift from one state to another. If you can change your thoughts, you can change your life. Every little effort that is applied multiplies towards reaching your goal.

Just keep moving while imagining, feeling, and living from the dream you have in mind. It will come through application and keeping the dream alive. It doesn't matter what the little steps or jobs toward the dream are. Every step counts and will lead you to your goal as long as you are diligent with keeping your dream alive daily.

What we desire is there for a reason. It is part of our mission and fulfills our life. So, never give up on the desire. Just keep moving, knowing that it will be there no matter how things may appear to the contrary or what you may have to go through to get there. You have to stay up and keep moving in thought, feeling, and action.

Shift into this new state of realizing your dreams. It can be done. It's the difference between a movie you don't want to see again and a movie that you keep wanting to see, the kind of movie you want your life to be like. Don't think about the timing or how you are going to get there. You will get there. Imagine your dream fulfilled. Play out mental roles from the life of your dreams. See yourself depositing large summed checks into your account. See your friends and family expressing excitement in your personal achievements. Feel the love, the security, the accomplishment.

Don't give up, just keep moving. Don't worry about what you are going to do right now. Just do something, keep moving while keeping your dream alive and knowing it will come. Stand tall. Keep moving. Stay positive. Hold onto the dream. Anytime you feel discouraged, let it go, take a determined step forward with your dream in mind.

Thanks, Daniel

The Answer

Erol Hasan asked a question in one of the group forums that I subscribe to. He wanted to know what the future was for MNI  (Michael Newton Institute). The conversation that followed was memorable in my opinion and I wanted to preserve it. Here it is in its entirety. I've included Erol Hasan's name because he posted the question. I've included Peter Smith's name because he answered the question. The other participant's are initials only. For clarity's sake TNI:  The Newton Institute. LBL: Life Between Lives  PLR: Past Life Regression

Erol Hasan: What is the future of TNI? Dr. Newton's work needs to evolve and expand and be researched at a higher level. Does Dr. Newton have someone to carry on his work? I appreciate all the TNI therapists trained according to is incredible technique, but what is the rate of growth in terms of numbers of therapists? It worries me that we become a minority of people with a mutual interest not taken seriously. This work cannot be denied, but how do we make this more available to the masses? As a final point, I am 100% sure that there are a huge number of people out there who are oblivious to his amazing and in depth work.

ALA(TNI Admin) Yes. There is a research program being developed within TNI and other projects in education and also creating a library where information can be accessed as well.. There are also other projects being created that are also going forward. Since most work is on a volunteer basis and everyone has to work for economic equilibrium these things take the time they take... But dedication to evolution is something important and there is always more to learn and share.

EH: Thank you Allison ,it's reassuring to know that things are going in the right direction. After all ,it is a bridge in the next stage of our spiritual evolution.

MeAnother psychologist, perhaps?

Peter Smith Following on from Allison's comments, the number of TNI Certified LBL therapists have quadrupled since 2005. We prefer to grow steadily, as our prerequisites are high and our path to certification robust. We now number 200 Therapists across 25 or so countries. We grow at the rate of about 10 to 15% per year. We re-validate Michael's amazing work around the globe on a daily basis. Our dedicated people are the custodians of his legacy to humankind. Peter Smith (President TNI)

EHThanks Peter, it's nice to know that there is positive and gradual growth. I like the fact that his work is re-validated every day. I've been thinking how we, as members of this forum can put the message eloquently, out there. I have tried with individuals I personally know, but I often get labelled 'eccentric,' for want of a better word. We have a lot to share.

Me But does a TNI therapist have the credentials necessary to perpetuate Dr. Newton's work and research?

CALydia Lawrence, in order to apply for TNI training, a hypnotherapist has to be very experienced and skilled and have the CV to prove it. Then TNI carefully select a handful of people from all the applications. These hand picked few are then trained by loving, caring, dedicated TNI instructors. TNI do not teach hypnotherapy, a therapist needs to be well versed in all aspects of hypnotherapy before even thinking of applying. TNI then teach this wonderful LBL modality... the week of training is not only a skills based week, its a major magical shift for those attending, its a deeply spiritual experience..... and each of us (in our different countries) are all adding to the work by documenting, discussing, sharing and building upon the work. Hope that answers your question? But please read what Peter Smith said above....

CA Erol Hasan remember, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. You can only promote this work to those who are ready. Thanks for being an active, positive member of our community....

ALA:  Lydia Lawrence, as Catherine Ann has written above, a TNI therapist has to be very experienced to be accepted to an LBL training, this requires documentation supporting a minimum of 200 hours of formal hypnosis education and a minimum of two years experience as a hypnotherapy practitioner. Additionally, certification or formal training and experience in using hypnotherapy to facilitate Past Life Regression. As well most TNI therapists bring other qualifications from training an degrees in in other fields and usually continue to studying and exploring and following researches to add to their 'tool box of techniques'. There are forum discussions where TNI therapists share and discuss case studies and techniques and therapists form connections with other TNI therapists where they can share learning. And just to note: the mentoring system is quite in depth. Not only for the associate Therapists- who once they complete their training have their own mentor for the 9 months while they complete their case studies for certification, but there are peer mentors as well for newly certified therapists. And TNI education is an active growing area which has Michael Newton's feedback and approval. So, yes the credentials and even more- we have  Michael Newton's wisdom guiding us to evolve...

ALAAlso regarding others coming into this form of awareness, we can seed a thought and do not always see the result ourselves, and while all roads lead to Rome, everyone has their own way of following their journey.

ALA But PS, it is always good to ask a question for from this we can learn something new all the time. Thinking about your questions I am reflecting upon that, I who have not been into organizations find TNI beyond impressive as it has a structure that is just as loving and nourishing for the Therapist members to grow and learn to become therapists that resonates the same involvement caring and thoroughness the therapist themselves are taught to create as an environment for their clients in sessions. So the whole structure reflects the teachings.

At this point I really thought that I was being given the runaround. I felt that the question was being avoided. So I asked the next question hoping that someone, anyone would give a clear, concise answer. And someone did.

MeTo be clear, I am in no way minimizing what you do and there is no disrespect here. I would love to do what you do. Talk about a life of service! What you do is amazing to me and I hope to have my own PLR and LBL one day. I would learn so much more about my life from that perspective. But there is a difference between researching what he started (thereby taking it somewhere else) and doing what you are taught or trained to do. Can you take what you all do and call it quantifiable research? Or is it your training being put to use? Not the same. Can you compile all your data and publish your results as research? It would truly be amazing to see his work expanded on. To me, the difference would be like learning to fly a biplane and always flying that biplane or learning to fly a biplane so that you could move on to fly a jet one day.

Peter SmithYes Lydia, there is a difference. To the best of my knowledge and understanding, Michael's life's work is the most comprehensive repository of information on the spiritual realm ever assembled in the history of humankind. He did this with one particular purpose and that was to offer to people a sense of their immortal identity and life purpose by personal experience, outside any influences of religious doctrine and teachings. By pursuing and validating the very nature of the afterlife legend, his work supports some aspects of mainstream religions. 7000 souls came forward to be his clients and the body of work was established. The intention of our certified people is to now offer the most powerful experience of a client's own consciousness that can be found in body at this time. The benefit of this is that the conscious mind comes too. For my mind THAT is the most powerful aspect of our work - "Spiritual Integration". The Conscious Mind meets the Superconscious Mind. An LBL Therapist's intention is not research, it is to offer a client centered, soul awakening, life changing experience. Having said all that, we have noticed many LBL sessions that move beyond the standard parameters of Michael's research and we need to move on that. The 4th book in the series "Memories of the Afterlife", signaled the work of one person has become the work of many, given we had 32 authors who worked alongside a willing client, to take their stories to the world. Book royalties are all donated to TNI by those authors so we can start to build further projects. One of those is now research and in 2012 we appointed three Research Team Leaders and a Research Coordinator. We are in transition now from being a group of Therapists to Research Gatherers and this is a huge change to the deep calling we all answered to assemble as an amazing group of light workers, here to help to shift the consciousness of humankind. An LBL Therapist's greatest asset is their heart. A researcher needs to use their head. We will find the right mix as this evolves for us where we can use both. Nothing will be published soon, and we will make a start somewhere during 2013. I encourage you to have your own session, as by doing just that you extend and evolve Michael's wonderful legacy to humankind. We've also found that after your personal experience of the LBL state that the research no longer matters as much. Regards, Peter Smith.

MeThank you so much. In appreciation and gratitude...

And So It Begins

On Solstice, December 21st (the ending of the Mayan Calendar, which just so happened to also be the day of the great Galactic Alignment) the girls and I had a little to-do. We said our intentions for the new year, we wrote them down on paper, in a blessed place lit by candle light, with quite a bit of ceremony. We said a prayer, held hands, spoke in whispers. It was lovely. Afterwards, we took our papers outside and burned them using the same candles. We were releasing them, our intentions, to the Universe. And then I tucked them in knowing that they would remember that night for a long time.

But for me, it was the dawn of a New Age. I don't know what I expected to feel on that night, really. Ecstasy, my hair on fire, the thrum of accelerated energy moving through my body, 'beam me up, Scotty' stuff? I don't know, but, whatever my expectations were, I know now that they must have been really great/high. How do I know that? Because my level of disappointment in not feeling anything is off the charts. So, from that, I can intuitively surmise that my level of disappointment is equal to what my  expectations of that day were.

There are no words to accurately describe the letdown that I experienced in the days that followed. I am not one given to depression. I've experienced disappointment before but not at this level. It was a profound thing, a dark thing, an 'I wish I could sleep the day away' thing. Luckily for me that I have my children to focus on. They were my reason for getting up and, once up, I could move through my day. Having their light around me made those days better. But at night, however, my thoughts would haunt me and I had restless nights, sleepless nights. And the really long days that generally follow those nights.

I found out that I wasn't alone in this disappointment (I belong to a few spiritual communities online). That didn't make me feel any better, that's for sure. But, I wasn't alone and that makes you think a little. Maybe it was about expectation. That we had expectations and in having them, were disappointed when they weren't met. That's it, of course. But, how can you not have them? It was the beginning of a New Age after all, we were ascending. But why didn't we feel it? Did we get left behind?

It took me a little while, but I finally figured it out. It's like your birthday. It doesn't feel any different, yet you're one year older. Or like New Year's Day. It doesn't feel any different than the day before but you know that it's the first day of a new year.

It's about the knowing of it and the feelings and emotions that you imbue it with. That's what changed it for me. I was able to release my disappointment and find the joy. The joy in knowing that a New Age was just beginning and with it great possibility filled with limitless potentiality.

So, last night, on New Year's Eve, I made a list of all the things I hadn't done or finished in the year. And I included everything I could think of. I did this with the intention of regaining all the energy that I had given these things and believe me they weighted me down. Guilt for putting them off, regret in not getting them done, remorse for promises not kept, you name it, I felt it. And it was draining and making me heavy in spirit. It was a really long list. I took that paper and I burned it, releasing the energy. I can't believe how light I felt afterwards. I reclaimed my energy and I'm putting it to good use.

And so this year, on this first day, I will begin by not making any resolutions. There is nothing left to resolve. Instead, I am setting intentions.

I will add to my list as necessary, but for now I am going to begin each day with this one:

It is my intention to be my best self, creatively, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

And for now, that is enough.

Happy New Year! May you experience the very best of everything this life has to offer!

Love and Light to you from the heart of me.

A Letter to Bruce Springsteen

Dear Bruce,

There are no words that can describe just how excited I am to finally, finally see you in concert. This has been a long time coming...28 long years.

First time I ever listened to your music was the summer of '83, I think. I was at my brother Carlos' house and he put on Thunder Road. Sipping beer on a hot summer night. That's all it took. That moment was forever captured and each time I hear Thunder Road I go back to that time.

And that's how it's been over the years. Each time a new album would come out it never failed that a song would capture whatever my life experience was at the time. Whether it was love, desire, loneliness, darkness, heartache or heartbreak, feelings of patriotism, loyalty, excitement, friendship, etc... , whatever I was experiencing or feeling, there was a song of yours that I could attach the moment to and embed it.

It amazed me, and it still does, that you could take my experiences and thoughts and put words to them. You then captured my emotions and they became music. Your lyrics were always succinct and to the point and the melodies made my heart soar.

I know that at the end of my life, as my spirit leaves this body, it will be your music playing softly in the background. The highlights of my life captured forever in your songs. It will be your voice that takes me home.

I love, love, love you.

                                      Your number one fan,

                                                                         Lydia
