Benevolent Being

I saw this post on my facebook feed. It is such a profound perspective on being a parent. One that I had never seen, heard, or read before. I thought to share it here. BENEVOLENT BEING... A time ago the soul of a young man was created and transformed into physical energy. He came here to bless those and be in the lives of the ones who needed his love the most. I was fortunate enough to be included in his existence and wise enough to recognize him as my son. Before he was ever born, I turned my head to the heavens and asked Spirit to allow me to help create his loving soul. For I recognized that I could be healed by his presence, and shown how to love by learning from his example. In his lifetime he has traveled far from home and learned the patterns of unfamiliar people. He has befriended many of them and created long lasting relationships. I watch as he touches the lives of others and I witness the sharing of himself without expectation. I endeavor to be in that space, where I selflessly give my energy and love to the world at large without apprehension. Soon he will return home and I will again be exposed to his light. I give thanks to God that he is here with me in the form of this most beloved son. I begin to understand the gift of sharing someone with the world, even though I will not always be with him. I know he will be safe because he is here with a mission and a meaning that as time passes, is revealed to me. I am humbled by the gift of him, as I try to become effortlessly worthy of the company of this most amazing person. 2015

And so it begins - 2015. Resolutions? Nope, not really. Nothing needs resolving. However, I am making a list and setting the intention to see the list through. The list is one of attainable, short-term goals. I'll set it in writing those things that I want to accomplish this year. Of course some are intangible. But others are not and those are the ones that I 'intend' to see through. How about you?
